Why Blog Now?

Everyone and their dog seems to be blogging, except for me. What's the big deal?

Now even the AIN website is a blog. And I've been given "author" status to write posts like this one, to help promote the power of blogging to AIN leadership groups doing work like planning the conference, securing our non-profit status, building local improv hubs, etc.

Carolyn & John on our team suggested a place to tackle the age old question — Why Blog? So here is my first post - a thread for those of us learning something new.

Lay it on us. Tell us what blogging is good for, and how to jump in first and ask questions later...

Good question. So that's one thing it's good for... a place to wonder out loud.

Even if you don't get a reply you get to engage a different part of your brain writing about something.

In this case you are getting a reply. I don't about you but I find that gratifying.

Personally, I'm getting to like Peter Block's book - The Answer to How is Yes - which advocates trying stuff out instead of asking why, so Denzil you seem to be embodying that with this post.

Another nice thing about blogging is it's a good way to share interesting stuff, like this article which explains what blogging has done for Microsoft.
