Offer accepted

So when I linked to the New Improv Page the other day, I kept it short. I thought at the time I should have made more of an effort to explain what I was linking to. But instead of going with the guilt I did what felt easy, and just linked.

Happily, Fuzzy Gerdes (who writes that blog) saw this not as laziness but as an offer and wrote a post explaining what his blog is for. What a good way to accept an offer. And here's what he wrote, which is my way of accepting his. Who knows where this could lead.

There are two things I do here at the New Improv Page. One is this blog. I generally post very short, informational items about improv festivals and improv-related books or tv shows, movies, etc. And I post short lists of groups that I've added to the Groups pages.

Which segues to the other thing I do: lists. Lists and lists of links. The most traffic on the site comes to the list of links to lists of Improv Games. The next stop for many people are the lists of websites of Improv Groups, which are divided into three lists, one for the United States (organized by state), Canada (by province) and the Rest of the World (by country). Altogether, I have over 1000 groups listed, and if your group has a website and you don't see it listed, there's an easy form to alert me to your group.

There's also a Bibliography, which is extensive for Books and light on Audio and Video. And I keep an up-to-date list of upcoming Improv Events and Festivals.
