Back where it all began (without me)

Those of you who have met me will probably know that my two professional passions are Improv and Accelerated Learning.
Well I have had one of my rare opportunities to have both satisfied at once.

I am at the 2006 conference of the International Alliance for Learning.(http://www.ialearn.org/index.php)
It was at an IAL conference (in 2003 I believe) that a group of attendees realized that they al love Improv and used it in what they were doing.. The Improv in business network was born and the rest is (or will be) History

At this year’s conference Michelle James ( http://www.appliedimprov.net/blog/people/2005/07/michelle_james.php) has just given a 90-minute presentation to about 30 or so people on how Improv can be used within the learning world we all occupy.

It was again energizing for me. It brought home just how long it is until November and our own conference http://www.appliedimprov.net/blog/static/2005/03/2005_conference_1.php, and also how little time I have until then if I am going to make any headway in the tasks and goals I set myself in New York last year.

So, as I sit here surrounded by people who share one of my passions I felt the need to connect to and embrace those who share my other one.

I promised to make sure I didn’t loose touch with ‘the tribe’ and this is just one way that I will be trying to keep that promise.
