Dan Moshavi

Dan Moshavi, Ph.D., is a management professor at Montana State University. Dan brings 15 years experience as an improvisation performer (as a member of improv troupes in San Francisco and Washington, DC) and facilitator into the classroom. He regularly uses improvisational theater techniques to teach organizational behavior, group dynamics and human resource management. Dan has written about using improvisation in business school classes for the Journal of Management Education and conducts research about the organizational benefits of improvisation. He has won numerous teaching awards during his career.
Dan regularly conducts improvisation workshops for academics and business professionals. With 10 years of industry experience prior to entering academia, Dan brings a results-oriented approach to improvisational training.
Dan received his Ph.D. in management from the University of Oregon (GO DUCKS!) and has served on the faculty at San Jose State University in California. In 2000, he decided to trade urban traffic and housing prices for Big Sky serenity and relocated with his family to the gorgeous Rocky Mountains of Bozeman, MT.
