Terrill Fischer

Terrill Fischer is constantly negotiating through the shark invested waters of business. He was an investment media broker where he sold over $50 million worth of radio and television stations during the 90’s. He's been a professional standup comedian and a member of the ComedySportz in Austin, Texas, a comedy improvisational troupe since 1996. He started Humor University, a community of humor and fun experts from around the world, to promote humor in the workplace as a way to eradicate ‘terminal seriousness’ at work.
His speeches and workshops include the following:
”Preventing Hardening of the Attitudes: Humor as Mental Floss”, "How to Negotiate Successfully Without Burning Down the Bridge", "High Performance is In The Moment”, and “Why We Do What We Do”
Terrill believes that how we negotiate in life is a SKILL, much like riding a bike. To become a master of the bike, you must not simply watch others doing it and take notes; you must get on the bike, find your balance and ride. His workshops follow suit: everyone is challenged to rise to a new level of negotiation through practice, application and experience. Participants emerge with a new sense of possibilities, skills, and confidence.
He is co-founder of In The Moment Productions, Inc. and has helped clients such as IBM, Dell Inc., Samsung, State of Texas, University of Texas MBA program, and Colorado Society of Associations. In addition, he is a member of the National Speakers Association, and has been training in the corporate and public sectors since 1990. He combines his work as an improvisational comedian, researcher, and business owner to create unique workshop experiences that are insightful, relevant and fun. Terrill is also certified consultant with Birkman International, Inc., in which he delivers the Birkman Method which is a comprehensive assessment tool which measures personality, social perceptions and misperceptions, personal values, occupational interests, and communication styles.
He is the co-author of the book, “Making Work Fun: 139 Ways to Lighten Up at Work”.
