Warren Lyons

Warren is a New York theatre producer and writer who has worked with Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Ethel Merman, Tony Bennett and Bernadette Peters. He won the New York Drama Critics Prize for his original co-production of The House of Blue Leaves. Warren’s experiences on and off stage convinced him that the healing power of music was not just in listening to singers, but in using one’s own voice. He became passionate about giving people back what he considers their birthright: the freedom to communicate fully without fear or self-criticism. He offered the first class in his Manhattan living room in 1977, and Joy of Singing!™ was born.
