Michael
E. Berg holds a BA degree in Theatre Arts &
Speech from State University of New York at Brockport.
Working for over three decades in the theatrical community,
Michael’s credits are many.
Michael taught drama at the Wolf Theatre Academy, Denver
Centre for the Performing Arts and the Denver School
of the Arts. He taught and performed in Colorado schools
and in schools from Maine to California. He also taught
as an Artist-in-Residence and received grants from the
Colorado Council of Arts & Humanities. He performed
and taught in Hong Kong with the Zon Troupe.
Directing credits include productions for the Wolf
Theatre Academy, Amalgamated Mime Company Symphony productions,
the Changing Scene Theatre and the Denver Centre for
the Performing Arts. His acting credits include 18 years
on television as the zany Mr. Otis on "Blinky’s
Fun Club", WB2, where he also served as writer,
puppeteer and segment producer.
Michael served as Artistic Director, choreographer
and actor for 22 years with Berg & Prince Comedy
Theatre. He instituted the Great Mime Network based
in Colorado. His 30 plus years in acting and teaching
include performing arts festivals in Colorado, West
Virginia, Louisiana, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New York,
California, Alabama, Texas, Nebraska and Wyoming.
Symphony orchestra performances around the U.S included
the Denver Symphony Orchestra. He performed at the Vail
Institute for 15 years. Michael’s talents also
include set / prop construction and painting for productions
and art organizations, including the Colorado Ballet.
Michael has presented physical theater techniques as
relates to mental health at the Colorado Behavioral
Health Care Conference for several years. He worked
as greensman, propmaster and animal handler on the award
winning children’s classic movie "Moosie."
Currently Michael is the Artistic Director for GreatStressSeminars.com
as a member of the national organization Applied Improvisation
Network, bringing creative solutions to business through
theatrical improv.
