Pat Caroll Kirkland and Amy Carroll come from a family of 7 children where communication and chaos were synonymous! They later realized, this was their early training in group dynamics. In their formal training, Pat earned a B.A. in communications and an M.A. in education while Amy earned a B.A. in psychology and recently completed her coach training.

In 1990 Pat founded Skills For Success Inc., (www.skills4success.net) a consulting firm based in Austin with offices in California, Connecticut and Europe. Amy followed suit in 2000, creating her business, Carroll Coaching & Consulting, in Switzerland where she moved in 1995 for an endless supply of chocolate.

Their most valuable training comes from their study of improvisational theatre with BATS (Bay Area Theatre Sports), National Comedy Theatre and other independent improv coaches. Pat and Amy, along with Kevin Carroll (believe it or not, another sibling), have coached thousands of individuals using improv as a fundamental principle in their work. The areas they focus on include:

•  Interpersonal Communications
•  Team Building

Along with incorporating improv techniques in their work, Pat, Amy and Kevin have a light and playful style and use videotaping as a real-time feedback tool with clients. So, clients make rapid progress and have a blast!

Their mother hoped they’d become like the von Trapp family. Though if you heard them sing, you’d be glad they went into training!
