Karen Dawson MA, B.Ed, CEC
Certified Executive Coach and Facilitator

Learning and leadership form the backbone of Karen's unique work experience. President of CREATE NOW Leadership Development, Karen supports leaders to learn, grow and excel. She coaches and facilitates with a strong belief that each of us can create the team, the organization, and the life that we want. As consultant, facilitator and executive coach, Karen challenges clients to perform at their peak.

Grounded in theatre training as an actor and director, with seven years experience as a flying instructor with the Canadian Military Air Reserve, combined with twelve years as a high school theatre teacher, Karen supports clients to step outside their comfort zone to stretch, learn, and grow.

Improvisation supports the development of clients wanting to nurture a coaching culture within their organization, with a focus on rich dialogue, learning conversations, and innovation. As an award- winning educator Karen combines her understanding of diverse learning styles with creative program design and delivery. Karen works with both public sector and corporate clients designing and facilitating leadership development initiatives.

Holding a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training, Karen is a certified executive coach qualified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® and Corporate Coach U’s Coaching Clinic©. Karen is associate faculty for the Royal Roads University Graduate Studies in Leadership Division, and serves as leadership coach and presenter within the Leadership and Learning Collaboratory.
