Lizzie
Palmer left 3 years of beer,
fun and a degree in politics from Bristol, to join the
rough, tough world of advertising at O&M. After
4 agencies, 8 years and an increasing number of ridiculous
names, she decided that too many initials (O&M,
BBH, LSDC, SPCTDL!) weren't good for her.
Her eclectic taste in music, and
love of teeny boy bands led the poacher to become a
gamekeeper, and in 1994 she joined Capital Radio as
Head of Marketing, Events and PR. Two years later she
became Marketing Director. She then worked on a contract
basis at Channel 4, and Discovery Channel (as their
Vice President of Consumer Marketing), before joining
Orange as Head of Brand Marketing for the UK. She became
Director of Worldwide Brand Strategy, Development and
Communications for Orange in 2001.
In October 2003, the lure of working
for herself and helping others through training and
consultancy became too much and she is now a partner
of On Your Feet a blend of business and the arts which
helps companies with improving communication, relationships
and creativity.
Lizzie has worked with, amongst others, the Alliance
& Leicester, Philips, Saatchi and Saatchi. She facilitates
workshops for On Your Feet in London and else where.
When not working, you can find her on the massage table,
cleaning her chakras and doing a little retail therapy.
She will be among the speakers at the Improvisation
in Business conference in San Francisco in October 2004.
