David Matthew Prior

Have you ever had an intuition about something in your life that you didn’t go with, and looking back, you wish that you had? When I ask people that question, they universally nod their head yes. I then ask them: What was the price you paid for not following that intuition? In a recent workshop, one gentleman quietly answered: “$100,000”.

As you can see from this story, when you go against your intuition, the cost can be quite high. One thing that I know to be true from several years of coaching clients is that everyone, on some level, hasn’t trusted their gut. And that’s what I coach: THE GUT.

David Matthew Prior is called the “I” Coach because of his special program, Using Your Three I’s: Instinct, Intuition and Impulse. It all comes down to sensing a situation (instinct), knowing the truth (intuition), and doing what needs to be done (impulse).

Following his “I’s”, David has enjoyed a variety of business experiences ranging from Trust Officer with Chase Bank to professional Acting Teacher in New York. His most recent coaching exploits have led him to being featured as a Life Coach for CNBC Business News and to authoring an article on coaching ethics for the premiere issue of Choice Magazine. As a leader, David serves the coaching profession through his role as Co-Chair of the ICF Ethics & Standards Committee.

His corporate coaching clients have included Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett Packard, First Boston, Ernst & Young, and AT&T. David’s MBA from Thunderbird is complemented by his fluency in French and Spanish, as well as a working knowledge of Russian.
